¡Bienvenidos a la Clase de Español! Señorita Ziegler, Team 8-5 The first semester is coming to a close. As we continue to prepare for high school, here are some tips to make the second semester even better than the first: Review your vocabulary at home on a nightly basis. Retake more vocabulary quizzes to improve your grade. Practice grammar topics, especially irregular verbs and forms. Write up some sentences and enter them on the bulletin board in class. Bring in some objects for extra credit (up to five each marking period!). Watch some tv shows or listen to music in Spanish.
Congratulations to the following people for their performance during the second marking period: "ON FIRE" Los Argentinos: Jessica M. Los Colombianos: Jenna W. Los Cubanos: Julie M. Los Españoles: Garrett R. Los Mexicanos: Liz O. The "NERD" of the Class Los Argentinos: Greg E. Los Colombianos: Kelly A. Los Cubanos: Tom W. Los Españoles: Jerry K. Los Mexicanos: Sam M. Rachel's Challenge Alden Schools have accepted Rachel's Challenge. In the assembly on November 13th, 2008, our 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students learned about five things that Rachel Scott challenges us to do: 1. Eliminate Prejudice - Look for the Best in Others 2. Dare to Dream - Set Goals, Keep a Journal 3. Choose Your Influences - Input Determines Output 4. Kind Words - Small Acts of Kindness = Huge Impact 5. Start a Chain Reaction with Family and Friends For more information, visit: www.RachelsChallenge.com "You just may start a chain reaction." áéíóúñ¿¡
