February 2010 Happenings
1. Elementary Curriculum Council will be meeting on February 8, 2010.
2. The new ELA and Math Standards are to be released for review on February 4, 2010.
3. The Physical Education equipment is for sale to make room for the new equipment which should be delivered in March. There is an evening "Open House" for you to come see the equipment on February 2, 2010 from 4:00-7:00 in the High School Fitness Room.
4. The RtI Committee will meet for a second time. This committee is working to draft a plan for July 2012 implementation. This is a new plan for school districts, and the first few meetings are intended to set the foundation of what is to be included in the master plan.
5. The Literacy Council will meet two times this month. Their role is to review the ELA Curriculum K-6 which is part of our Curriculum Review Cycle. This work is particularly important as we review the proposed new ELA standards.
6. The 6-12 English Department will begin their Curriculum Review at the end of February.
