I grew up in Akron, New York and graduated from Akron High School.  I went to Canisuis College for my BA in International Relations.  After college, I married and moved to Carolina, Puerto Rico and lived there for five years.  When I came back to Western New York, I worked in International Customer Service, International Business and International Distribution at Fisher Price Toys.  When I became a mom, I stayed home with my son until he was in second grade.

I have always loved Spanish and tutored from home since the age of 18.  I eventually went back to graduate school for Spanish Education 7-12 and then my Master's Degree in Educational Technology, both from Buffalo State College.  I have been at Alden since 2008.  I teach both 7th and 8th grade Spanish.  I am the Middle School Spanish Club advisor.  I am the middle School Cooperative Learning Coach.  I have been the Social Studies and World Languages Curriculum and Instruction Teacher Leader for the last four years.

I live in Akron with my husband and my son John.  I have two dogs and two cats.  I love the country but enjoy the city too.  I like to garden and read.  I am an avid reader.  I love to travel and if the country speaks Spanish that is even better!
