Mrs. Ludwig

I have been involved with children and families throughout my 34 years as a social worker. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Social Work in 1982 from Buffalo State College. I then worked at Our Lady of Victory Infant Home in several positions: child care worker in the girls' group home, worker in the Aftercare Program and the first caseworker in OLV's Preventive Services Program. This work was with young mothers and their children. I then earned a Master's degree in Social Work from the State University at Buffalo in 1988. That brought me to positions associated with the formerly named Children's Hospital of Buffalo. These included the Early Childhood Program, a preschool program for special needs students, and the Robert Warner Rehab Center.

Coming to Alden was a wonderful way to continue my work with children and families in a school setting. I have been a proud member of our district since 2000, starting as a long-term substitute, and then being hired permanently. I have been most consistantly assigned to the Primary and Intermediate buildings, with some years spent in the Middle School. I feel, along with my colleagues in Pupil Support Services, that we offer a supportive environment for all children to grow and learn durng their school careers in Alden.
