Pickleball was invented by Joel Pritchard in 1965. While playing this game Joel's dog "pickles" kept stealing the ball. Therefore the game was named Pickleball.
Rules of the game
-The player on the right hand side of the court will begin the serve
-All serves must be underhand
-Server must have one foot behind the back line when serving and the other foot in bounds.
All serves must be diagonal and clear the no volley zone.
**Double bounce rule**
-the ball must bounce once on each side of the net before a player can volley it out of the air.
(to volley a ball means to hit it out the air without it bouncing first)
-No player can volley a ball in the no volley zone area in front of the net.
The game is played to 11 points and a team must win by 2.
