WELCOME TO BULLDOG ATHLETICS
Athletics are a vital part of the entire educational process. Athletic programs teach student-athletes values such as sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, respect, and cooperation. It is our hope that these values learned in Alden's Athletic Program stay with our athletes for life. The goal of this athletic web page is to improve communication among all stakeholders of the Alden Athletic Program.
Family ID for Sport Registration will open:
JV/Varsity/Mod: October 5, 2018
Family ID for Sport Registration will close:
JV/Varsity/Mod: October 28, 2018
If you miss these deadlines, your child may not be able to participate in sports.
We are about to head into our winter athletic season. Please register your student-athlete for their respective sport by going to the athletics homepage and clicking on the FamilyID Register Now button. If your student-athlete has not yet participated in athletics, you will need to create a new FamilyID account. The FamilyID “HELP” menu can assist you in any questions you may have.
All athletes must have a current physical from a NYS health provider dated within one year of the month of tryouts/practice stating that they are qualified to participate in sports. For example, if the first practice is November 5, 2018 then the physical cannot be dated before November 1, 2017. Parents can also upload an image of the physical form to FamilyID. Alternatively, physicals can be sent or brought to the health office at the Middle School (7th and 8th grades) or High School (9th through 12th grades). We do not recommend doctor offices to fax physicals to the school. The nurse’s office does not have a fax machine.
We make every effort to keep our athletic website up to date with information that we receive in our office. Please check FamilyID, the athletic website, and with the coach for any updates or changes that may happen before or during the season. Our Alden Athletics Twitter page/Facebook page also sends out updates.
You cannot practice without approval from the nurse and athletic department. If you miss the deadline, you need to sit out of practice for one week until approval is granted. Understand that this may cause you to miss the try-out period.
If you have questions, please contact our office by phone or email.
