WELCOME TO BULLDOG ATHLETICS
Welcome to the Alden Athletic Department's web page. The department is proud of its long history of excellence.
ANNOUNCEMENT: NYSPHSAA announced (July 16, 2020) that fall sports start will be delayed until September 21, 2020. If, at that time, the health situation has not improved to a point where it will be safe to begin, the three sports seasons will be condensed into January-June 2021. Please see the release from NYSPHSAA for more details. Fall sports registration will be extended through the entire month of August.
Athletics are a vital part of the entire educational process. Athletic programs teach student-athletes values such as sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, respect, and cooperation. It is our hope that these values learned in Alden's Athletic Program stay with our athletes for life. The goal of this athletic web page is to improve communication among all stakeholders of the Alden Athletic Program.
Registration for fall sports opens on Wednesday, July 1st, 2020.
Click the REGISTER NOW button below to register your child for sports.
Family ID for spring sports registration is due by: Monday, August 10th
If you miss these deadlines, your child may not be able to participate in sports.
If you have questions, please contact our office by phone or email.
The goal is to give the student-athletes, parents and coaches a way to resolve concerns positively and timely.
Procedure will be:
1. The student-athlete’s first contact should be to the coach.
2. If unresolved, the parent/guardian should contact the coach.
3. If concern remains unresolved, the student-athlete or parent/guardian should contact the Athletic Director.
4. If you have not resolved your concern, the parent/guardian should contact their child’s building administrator.

All athletes must have a current physical from a NYS health provider dated within one year of the first day of tryouts/practice stating that they are qualified to participate in sports. (i.e. If the first practice is August 24, 2020 then the physical cannot be dated before August 1, 2019.)
Physicals must be sent or brought to the health office at the Middle School (7th and 8th grades) or High School (9th through 12th grades). Parents can also upload an image of the physical form to FamilyID.
Due to HIPPA regulations, schools are unable to contact a health provider to request this information.
Students will not be allowed to try out or participate in practice without a current physical on file. NO EXCEPTIONS.
