The team with the ball is called the OFFENSE.

The team without the ball is called the DEFENSE.

The person that throws the ball is called the QB or Quarter Back.

The person who catches the ball is called the WR or Wide Receiver.

The offense has 4 downs to score a Touch-down or (TD).

The defense counts to 5 before rushing the QB.

The defense can BLITZ one time per 4 downs.

The only time offense can run is when the defense blitz's.

Flag Guarding- When an offensive player blocks or protects his/her flag from being pulled.

Touch-down = 6 points

PAT(point after touch-down) RUN = 2   Kick = 1

Field Goal = 3 points

Start Game with a kick off.

Kicking the ball out of your hands is called a punt.

The Line of Scrimmage extends from ball to the Side Line.

The area over the ball that neither the defense or offense can be in is called the Neutral Zone

Pass patters we learned are: 

Streak - receiver runs straight out toward end zone

In- receiver runs out 5 yards and makes a 90 degree turn toward the QB. 

Out-  receiver runs out 5 yards and makes a 90 degree turn away from the QB.
