According to aeseducation.com digital citizenship "...refers to the responsible use of technology by anyone who uses computers, the Internet, and digital devices to engage with society on any level." Teaching digital citizenship at each level is essential to our digital literacy curriculum due to the increased usage of technology among young people and the opportunity to use it incorrectly. During this unit we will learn how to properly engage with technology and social media so that we can safely connect with others and create lasting relationships through various digital tools, while being respectful, compassionate and safe!
