Here you will find links that are mostly designed for review and enrichment. So when your child declares that he or she has "no homework," they can always stop by here to play a new game or just to study from the textbook links.
Use these cards to help you study:
1. First read through "Terms and Definitions" together a couple of times to review.
2. Next, quiz yourself by just clicking on the term and then guess the definition (or vice versa).
Just for fun- see how many points you can score on this "5th Grade" (yeah right) game about chemistry. It's pretty tough (I got 6200 points the first time I played), but also a good review of many topics from our chemistry unit. Good Luck!
This one's alot of fun- many terms in this game will pop up on your unit test. Other terms are review from 6th grade when you first learned about matter, so it is a good review for the NYS exam in science too.
Would you prefer to learn about science through music? Click here to listen to songs about various topics (requires quicktime). Great fun, but trust me, don't ask Mrs. Fisher to sing to you. Not pretty!
On this site, you will find temperature and rainfall ranges for the major biomes, as well as some interesting information for the water biomes. But you do have to skim through the reading a bit, so do not get frustrated.
