    Hello all,

Here is a little bit about myself, your 5th grade teacher!

About me:  I grew up in Cheektowaga, New York.  I have two sisters, one older (Lauren) and one younger (Courtney)!  I come from a family full of teachers, so I like to think that being a teacher is in my blood! I currently have three cats, who are like my children.  One is named Junie (Yes, like Junie B. Jones, my favorite book as a kid) Tinkie, and Daisy.

Education: Cheektowaga Central ('09), Buffalo State College Undergrad ('14), and Buffalo State College Masters ('16)

Teaching Experience: I am so excited to be approaching my 5th year here at Alden Intermediate.  I am eager and ready to meet all of you!!   When I became a certified teacher, I instantly got into many schools as a substitute teacher.  After subbing for a few months, I was offered a long-term teaching job at Union East Elementary in Cheektowaga.  There I taught reading AIS for about 4 months!  I taught kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th graders reading!  After that, I returned as a teacher's aide in a second-grade classroom for about 2 months!  Then, I was offered yet another long-term job, but this time as a 4th-grade special education teacher!  Over the summer I looked to go on many interviews and came across one here at Alden Intermediate.. and well you know how that turned out!  I am so happy to be teaching 5th grade again with all of you!
