    Chapter Objective:

    * Squares and rectangles are four-sided figures with special properties.


    Square - A square is a four-sided figure with four right angles and all sides of equal length. A square is a special type of rectangle.

    Right angle - This angle measures exactly 90°.

    Rectangle - A rectangle is a four-sided figure with opposite sides parallel, and of equal length. It has four right angles.

    Parallel - Parallel means the lines or line segments are always the same distance apart.
