Vocabulary:

Product - The result of multiplication. The answer from a multiplication problem. 

Common factor - A whole number that divides two (or more) other numbers exactly. Factors of 8 : 1, 2, 4, 8 and factors of 12 : 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12.   1, 2 & 4 are common factors of 12. Its value is less than 1.

Proper fraction - A fraction were the numerator is less than the denominator. 

Improper fraction - A fraction where the denominator is equal to or greater than the numerator. Its value is equal to or greater than 1. 

Mixed number - A number made up with a whole number and a fraction.

Reciprocal - The inverse of a fraction. Ex: 1/5 is the reciprocal of 5/1 or 5.
