Chapter 13 Properties of Triangles and Four-Sided Figures

    Chapter Objective:

    * Properties of geometric figures state relationships among angles or sides of the figures. Triangles and four-sided figures have their own special properties.


    Vocabulary:

     Equilateral triangle - A triangle with all sides of equal length.

    Isosceles triangle - A triangle with two sides of equal length.

    Scalene triangle - A triangle with three sides of different length.

    Right triangle - A triangle that has one 90° angle.

    Obtuse triangle - A triangle with one angle measurement that is greater than 90°.

    Acute triangle - A triangle with all angle measurements less than 90°.
