About Mrs. Mooney
I've learned quite a bit about my students over the years, here's a little about me that you might not know:
About me: I grew up in Clarence, New York. I have two younger brothers and one younger sister. Most of my family still lives in Clarence and we get together often. My one brother lives in Las Vegas with his family. We wish we could see them more often, but we'll have great visits! I have been married to my husband for over sixteen years now, how time flies! We have 2 children named Ryan and Anna, and a chocolate lab named Belle.
Education: Clarence High School ('94), Fredonia State University ('98), and The University of Buffalo ('03)
Teaching Experience: It's hard for me to believe, but this is my 23rd year of teaching. That went fast! This is my 3rd year teaching 4th grade. I also spent 9 years teaching 5th grade at Alden Intermediate School. Prior to teaching at AIS, I taught 2nd grade at Alden Primary for 3 years. I was also a teacher at Alden Middle School for 6 years teaching 6th grade Math. So that means I've taught in 3 of the 4 buildings in our district! My teaching career began in the Buffalo Public Schools teaching Remedial Math in grades 3 through 8 for two years. I also taught at The Gow School for 4 summers teaching 3rd through high school Math. I am a retired Cross Country and Track Coach at Alden and a retired Ski School Instructor at Kissing Bridge.
Hobbies/Interests: In addition to being a mom, I enjoy running, biking, downhill skiing, gardening, reading, cooking, and walking our dog!

I look forward to learning with you this year, it's going to be great!
