    2020-2021 ANNUAL BUDGET VOTE & ELECTION
    JUNE 9, 2020

    Governor Cuomo’s Executive Order No. 202.26 modifies the rules under which school districts are to conduct the 2020 annual meeting for the election of school board members and budget votes.  One such modification is that qualified voters will vote only by absentee ballot.  Due to the fact that the District cannot know every qualified voter within the District’s boundaries, absentee ballots were mailed to registered voters in the District on May 22, 2020. 

    The list of registered voters (comprised of Erie, Genesee and Wyoming Counties registered voters’ lists) can be found by clicking on this link https://www.aldenschools.org/Page/11847.  If you are a qualified voter and do not see your name on the list but would like a ballot, please contact the District Clerk at trogers@aldenschools.org or call (716) 937-9116, ext. 4171 and leave a message including your name and address no later than seven (7) days before the vote (June 2nd) if the ballot is to be mailed.  A qualified voter is defined as a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age or older, and must be a resident of the School District for a period of 30 days immediately prior to the vote.

    Ballots can also be picked up or dropped off at the District Office, located at 13190 Park Street, Alden, NY, after June 2, 2020, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., not including Saturdays and Sundays or holidays.  Ballots must be received by the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m. the day of the vote, June 9, 2020.

    You only need to sign up ONCE to receive food delivieries.

    CUTOFF DAY/TIME for first time sign up

    • Saturday midnight deadline for first delivery Monday (pick up only after the deadline)
    • Wednesday 6:00 PM for first delivery Thursday (pick up only after the deadline)

    Thursday's distribution of food will be for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and will include breakfast and lunch for each day.
