Please note the following options when dropping off or picking up your child from Alden Intermediate School:

1. Parking spaces on Crittenden Road that run parallel to the main entrance.

2. Loop at the corner of Crittenden Road and Park Street.

3. Any legal on-street parking spot on Park Street or on the Middle School campus.

Parking on either side of Crittenden Road
is prohibited.

Q. My child walks to school. What time should she plan to be at school in the morning?

A. Morning arrival begins at 8:35 am and students should be in the classroom and ready no later than 8:50 am. Students may enter the building as early as 8:20 am daily and wait in the auditorium until morning arrival begins. 

Q. What is the procedure for a child who walks home from school?

A. Students are dismissed daily at 3:25 pm. Teachers have a list of who are daily walkers. These students are allowed to exit the building and should leave campus immediately.  

Q. What is the procedure for picking up my child early from school? 

A. Please provide a written note with your child in the morning so that the main office and classroom teacher are aware of the early dismissal. If the dismissal is during school hours (8:35 am - 3:25 pm), a guardian is required to come to the main office before signing the child out of school. To maintain the safety of our students, we require a government-issued ID.

Q. What if I plan to pick up my child at the end of the day?

A. Please provide a written note with your child so his teacher knows not to take him to the buses. If the pick-up is after 3:25 pm, you do not need to come to the main office to sign your child out of school. Students may wait for their ride at the main entrance, Lyons Loop entrance, or in the main office.
